In Really Weird News: Randy Quaid Seeks Refugee Status in Canada

Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have truly gone round the bend. They were arrested in Canada on outstanding warrants and now they're applying for refugee status under the grounds of "their lives being in danger from "Star Whackers".

Evi Quaid said friends such as actors David Carradine and Heath Ledger were "murdered" under mysterious circumstances and she's worried something will happen to her husband.
"We feel our lives are in danger, Randy has known eight close friends murdered in odd, strange manners ... We feel that we're next."
This will be an interesting story to watch unfold.

Vatican Newspaper Deems Homer Simpson "A Real Catholic"

The Vatican Newspaper; L'Osservatore Romano states: "Few people know it, and he does everything he can to hide it, but it is true: Homer J Simpson is a Catholic,"

It is not the first time that the Vatican newspaper has praised The Simpsons. Last December, as the television series celebrated its 20th anniversary, the paper said that "the relationship between man and God" is one of its most important themes and that it often mirrored the "religious and spiritual confusion of our times".

Napoleon Dynamite ~ The Cartoon!

It's official: "Napoleon Dynamite" is coming to TV.
Fox is giving a series order to a project based on the indie hit, one of two new teen-friendly animated projects greenlighted by the network.
Fox has picked up six episodes of the show, with the original cast on board as voice talent -- including Jon Heder as the title character. The network also ordered seven episodes of another show, "Allen Gregory," from "Superbad" star Jonah Hill and "Yes Man" scribes Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

"Gregory" is about the world’s most celebrated seven-year-old embarking on the greatest challenge of his life: attending elementary school with regular kids.
With "Dynamite," the comedy follows the misadventures of an awkward high school teenager and his quirky friends as they struggle to navigate life in rural Idaho.
Both projects are produced by 20th Century Fox TV, with Chernin Entertainment also producing "Gregory." Jared Hess, Jerusha Hess, and "Simpsons" veteran Mike Scully are writing and executive producing "Dynamite." Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope added as executive producers on "Gregory."

Madonna Not Happy About 'Untouched' Photos

These shots were taken for a Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign. I'm assuming someone on the shoot leaked them and I can understand why she'd be pissed.

Just because they make my day doesn't mean they make hers.

Joey Ramone Street Sign Most Stolen in NYC

The street sign dedicated to former Ramones lead singer Joey Ramone is the most stolen sign in New York City, according to civic officials.
The sign, which reads Joey Ramone Place, has been stolen four times since it was installed in 2003, the city's transportation department says.
To keep thieves at bay, it was recently raised 2.4 metres, putting it about six metres above street level.
Most similar signs are three to four metres up.
Former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone told the New York Post newspaper he worries that the tribute sign will be too high for some fans to see.
"Maybe they should find a better way to attach it," he suggested. "Now you have to be an NBA player to see it."
Joey Ramone Place is located at the corner of Bowery and East Second Street in Manhattan, near the deceased punk icon's New York home and the now-defunct rock club CBGB.
Seth Solomonow from the city transportation department said signs for Broadway, Wall Street and Love Lane have also been frequently stolen.
New York City has about 250,900 street signs.
